Actor’s News: Hu Ge and Liu Yifei

Actress Crystal Liu Yifei has been in the media recently for her promotions since the premiere of “A Chinese Ghost Story” 2011 remake.

I have yet to watch the movie, since the film doesn’t screen in Sydney unfortunately. However, I’ll probably grab it on DVD when it comes out :) For the meantime, we can all look forward to Yifei’s two upcoming movies:
The Four Great Detectives 2011 四大名捕 (currently filming) and White Vengeance 鸿门宴 (yet to film)

News on Hu Ge has been a little more quiet, though it is confirmed he will be taking part in another Tangren drama! The drama is titled “Xuan-Yuan Sword 3 Scar Of Sky” 轩辕剑三外传之天之痕 which is based on an RPG created by the same company as XianJian QiXia Zhuan! I’ll post more about this when more information and photos become available :)

XianJian QiXia Zhuan 5/ Legend of Sword and Fairy 5

We’ve been posting a lot on XianJian Qi Xia Zhuan 5 recently, as the game is coming out on 7th July 2011! The team behind the game has been releasing many new images and media to us fans. It’s a little tricky trying to catch up with them, haha.

For those who do not live in China, the game is still available for pre-order over at Play-Asia.com and YesAsia.com. It’s worth checking out, though the games are not available in English :(

Other Goodies and Downloads

The Song Downloads page has been updated with additional songs from other Chinese TV drama (Many thanks to Ron for sending them in!) I’m planning to add more songs that are related to Hu Ge and Liu Yifei in one way or another (mostly soundtracks from movies/drama’s they’ve participated in) So look forward to that too!

And..I think that’s it for now! It turned out to be quite a lengthy post, since so much has been happening.

Year of the Rabbit! Fairy and Swordsman turns 5 & new XianJian blogger

Happy Year of the Rabbit! Wishing you all a very prosperous new year filled with good health, fortune and happiness~新年快樂, 恭喜發財! :)

Last month, our site [Fairy and Swordsman] turned 5 years old! Woohoo! We will continue our best to bring you everything Chinese Paladin, from news articles, translations to media and downloads. There are quite a few exciting news in the world of XianJian with PAL5 expected to be released soon, and with GuJian turning into a drama. Of course, we’re also keeping our fingers crossed for a PAL4 drama. Nothing has been confirmed at this stage but we’ll inform you once we hear anything :)

As this site is a tribute to Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling’er, we’re constantly covering news related to the actors Hu Ge and Liu Yifei. This year we can expect a few new dramas and songs coming from Hu Ge. As for Liu Yifei, the muchly anticipated “A Chinese Ghost Story 2011” remake will also hit cinemas. I wonder what other projects she has lined up?

Being a huge fan of Xu Changqing and Zixuan, I’m always keeping an eye out for Wallace Huo and Tang Yan for {Undying Love}. If you haven’t seen Chinese Paladin 3 and have been contemplating about it..do it! Since watching Chinese Paladin 3, it’s been hard to find another drama that has kept me as captivated as it did. You can download the entire series here with English subtitles.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to welcome Evility, our new ChinesePaladin.org blogger whose main focus will be on the XianJian games “The Legend of Sword and Fairy”. She has already made a kick start with two blog articles on the newly released XianJian 5 supporting characters and bosses. The two main leads will also be introduced shortly!

We admire her dedication and ambition as it reflects our own passion for Chinese Paladin (something much less known in English speaking countries). I’d like to wish you all a very Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 祝大家中秋節快樂！ :)

Recently, I’ve also revamped the fanfiction section and will be posting up the remaining chapters for both Teddy’s Wan Mei Shi Jie (Perfect World) and veevee18′s Till the End. Both stories are very well written and intriguing! Make sure to give them a read. Both Chinese Paladin fanfictions are sequels to the drama series, though ‘Perfect World’ continues from the death of Zhao Ling’er, and ‘Till the End’ occurs several years later.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to post up some gorgeous XianJian QiXia Zhuan fanart to celebrate!

I’ve created 2 new Hu Ge and Liu Yifei artwork which can now be found in the Fanart section! Don’t they look adorable together? The images above were created by compositing the two actors together to make it look like it was taken together. I’m hoping to make some more and this series will be called “Parallel Universe”, featuring Zhao Ling’er and Li Xiaoyao in another world together :) Hope you like it!

Hi everyone!

We are pleased to announce we have a new guest blogger Rich who will be helping us update on XianJian QiXia Zhuan related game news, including the newly released GuJianQiTan. Rich is a member of our XianJian Fan Club, and is working on a English translation project for New PAL XP game.

Onto some site news, we have 3 new hi-res wallpapers of Hu Ge submitted by Brad. Thank you!

You can now download all of Hu Ge’s albums: “Start“, “Treasure” and “Blue Ray” via direct download. These can be found in the download section along with the Chinese Paladin OSTs. We provide the download links, but if you enjoy Hu Ge’s voice, please purchase the original album to support him! His latest album is brilliant, and includes “Gan Bu Gan Ai” from Fantasy Zhu Xian, “June Rain” from Chinese Paladin and “Forgetting Time” of Chinese Paladin 3 (A few of my personal favourites!) Liu Yifei’s Japanese album “All My Words” has also been added.

I’ve added quite a few posts on Liu Yifei recently as her latest movie along side Wang Lee-hom hit the cinemas. Plenty of trailers and images of “Love in Disguise” are up! Make sure to check them out.

Fairy and Swordsman v9 New Layout image

Fairy and Swordsman v9 is here! As you can see, we now have a pretty new layout banner at the top. This version is more lively and vibrant in colour, and features Zhao Ling’er and Li Xiaoyao from Chinese Paladin Online 2.0 and Hu Ge and Liu Yifei from the Chinese Paladin drama.

I’m quite happy with how this turned out and it might even be a personal favourite :) Click here to view our previous layout designs. I always take a lot of time and pride in my web designs so hopefully you like it too!

Over the last month, I’ve been doing a lot of clean up on the site and also changed the navigation around to hopefully make it easier to use. We currently have 631 members in the fanlisting- that’s a pretty amazing effort :D Thanks very much to everyone who joined so far, it’s great to know the love is here to stay. If you’re a fan of the relationship between Zhao Ling’er and Li Xiaoyao from the game or drama, please consider joining the list. We do our best to keep this fansite alive, so we would really appreciate some input from you guys too! Feel free to leave us a comment with any feedback.

On the 3rd May 2010, I finally purchased a Chinese Paladin domain name to host Fairy and Swordsman:

I’ve always wanted a Chinese Paladin domain name to host my Chinese Paladin fandom, but I wasn’t sure how long it would last. A lot of fansites go down after a year or two and get abandoned by their webmasters. After recently starting Undying Love, I realised that I still love the world of Xian Jian very much to this day. Fairy and Swordsman has been running for over 4 years now so I was reassured that this is something I believe and hope will last forever. I hope you are all excited as I am, because this site exists for you :)

I’ve also updated the forum with pretty new markers to give it a fresh look. As always, please give it a visit and join the community of like-minded fans :) There has been several additional game files recently uploaded which is accessible to forum members only. The reason for this restriction is that too many come by and go without making a post- we never hear about this person at all. In order to keep the forum and fandom alive, we rely on you to contribute and help out. We hope that since you took the time to sign-up, that in return you will drop a line. After recently completing Chinese Paladin 3 TV Series, I’ve completely fallen in love with Xu Changqing and Zi Xuan (played by Wallace Huo and Tiffany Tang Yan). To show just how much I adore them, I’ve created a fansite and fanlisting devoted to the pair! Please check out the new site!

4 years ago when I created [Fairy and Swordsman] The Zhao Ling’er and Li Xiao Yao Fanlisting, I never knew we’d reached over 600 members! As you can see from this post, we are still very much active and devoted :) I hope the same will happen for {Undying Love}. This won’t be possible if people don’t know about it, so I would be really grateful if you help spread the word on forums/blogs!

I will be constantly updating and adding more content to both these sites. Please check back soon and as always, feel free to contribute images, articles and related media :)

In case you don’t know who they are, Zi Xuan is a Nu Wa Descendant, Zhao Ling’er’s grandmother! Changqing is of course, her grandfather. Chinese Paladin 3 occurs 50 years before the beginning of Chinese Paladin. Check out the new fansite for more information and images.

Fairy & Swordsman v8 Revamp Complete

Version 8 of the site is finally up! Over the past 3 days I’ve spent several hours moving everything from the old site to the wordpress powered CMS system. I have to say I’m really happy how this turned out and love this new look :) Over the next few days I’ll be adding finishing touches and bits and pieces to enhance it even more. To check out our previous site designs, click here.

The image gallery is back up with a snazzy new look, sorted into different photo albums. This will make it easy for me to add images, and you will enjoy a much more user-friendly experience. Access the image gallery with the navigation links on your right.

If you have a fanart or fanfiction related to Zhao Ling’er and Li Xiaoyao (or Liu Yi Fei and Hu Ge) please send them in! I would love to have them displayed in the Fan Section of this site. Full credit will be given back to you :)

We also have a new affiliate – K-TVB.net, a huge and popular TVB Drama Blog run by the lovely KTVB. I’m open to site affiliates and would love to affiliate with sites/forums/blogs/fanlistings related to Xian Jian/PAL, Chinese Paladin, Chinese/Hong Kong Drama/Entertainment, Liu Yi Fei, Hu Ge and Games. Hi everyone!

After much consideration and 4 years of running [Fairy and Swordsman], I have decided to power this site with WordPress! What does this mean for you? All the goodies from before plus a whole lot more more! It will enable me to update this site more easily and frequently, and encourage user-interactivity :) You can subscribe to our site updates, which include Chinese Paladin related goodies and news via our RSS Feed!

This site is still currently under-construction so please bear with me while I put everything back up. This can be considered a total site revamp so it will take some time. I’m re-working the navigation system so it would be easier for visitors to find what they’re looking for. There are so many pages and content in this site, a lot of them get ignored or buried within links inside links.

I’m also looking into a better Gallery. Will see what I can do.
Until then, visit our forum and join other Xian Jian fans alike!

Happy New Year everyone! In about a weeks time it’ll also be Chinese New Year of the Ox!

Wow, so 2009 is here… which means this fansite has been around for 3 years already! Although updates can be a little slow with me having less content to put up (the series has been around for 5 years already!), I will still continue to do so when I can =) This site will never go, as is my love for Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling’er, so please do revist time to time and contribute anything you can. I would really appreciate it! I was also contemplating on a new layout since I’ve had this up for such a long time, but it’s still my personal favourite so far ^^;

23 November 08: Hi everyone! A few days ago our Xian Jian Fan Club (forum) has been upgraded to the next version, with lots more features and a new look! Please come join us!

On other news, The Chinese Paladin (English Subtitled) US Version DVD was released 2 days ago through YESASIA for US$55.99- cheaper than what was offered for preorder! If you don’t already have a copy of it, I recommend getting one for yourself. Click here for more info.

23 August 08: Hey guys, back for some updates =D As you can see I’ve given this layout the TV drama version 7.2 featuring Liu Yi Fei and Hu Ge from Chinese Paladin!

I hope you like it! I’ve been rewatching some episodes on youtube lately in the Cantonese version and was totally hooked onto the couple again! >__< Why…why is Ling’er and Xiao Yao so so so compatible?! <3 I’ve done some cleaning around the site which you may (or may not) notice. Please feel free to contribute anything to the site! I’m always happy to receive suggestions, news and feedback! The more people who visit and are interested, the more frequent this site will be updated =)

19 August 08: Hi everyone! There hasn’t been much site updates lately, but I’ve still been approving members of this growing fanlisting =D

We have a total of 519 members, that’s really impressive ^_^ Thank you to everyone who came by and joined! I recently received an email from a visitor named Ken, who was very encouraging and supportive. It really means a lot to me when visitors send me a letter, or even a message to say how much they appreciate the efforts put into this site. Thanks to all those who brighten up my day =) Ken informed me that Cantonese Dub is being uploaded on youtube! This is great news for all those Cantonese (including myself!)
